To the Beloved
Chapter 10, Travel Journals
Day 10
To the Beloved
Entering the temple, we removed our shoes and saluted the master who revealed the truth to us. Sitting in lotus pose, we chant with the voice of one who is enlightened.
The spirit of the beloved entered the room and passed among us. When this presence stepped into me, I knew it as the spirit; divine, loving awareness that shines in the temple of my heart. It was my personal beloved, and it was the beloved of everyone chanting in that temple. It was the divine beloved that resides in all things and brings all things into being.
Barefoot, I enter the garden of the beloved. She stands as a pillar of warm light in the center of the garden. I bow before Her in recognition.
I am reflected in this light, and this light is reflected within me. And in our reflection, in my reflection, I see reflected all that exists. In this garden, in the light of the beloved, I am in harmony with the divine in all that exists.
I am here to commune with the divine, and in that communion become more aware of the divinity within myself and within all things. The goal is to awaken that divine awareness at all times. There is no goal. There is only divine being.
